Uganda practices a decentralized government system and each district is politically led by an elected Chairperson Local Council V (LC V) and his or her executives. The Chairperson LCV executes business through the District Council which constitute of councilors who are elected from the sub-counties within the district. The district council debates budgets, decisions, and bylaws. The Chairperson LC V also provides a supervisory role to the district technical staff. The district technical staff is headed by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The LCV and CAO work collaboratively with the Resident District Commissioner (RDC). The RDC monitors the implementation of the Central and Local Government Services in the District, act as Chairpersons of the District Security Committee, or carry out other functions as may be assigned by the President or prescribed by Parliament.  Below is the list of all the Current District Leaders (LCV in Northern Uganda with their contacts.
